Ground originated from explorations using standard 18 inch sections of Ground Flat Stock. A high quality steel, precision machined in Sheffield, England. This oil hardening steel is used by toolmakers as it has a high wear resistance after heat treatment, making it ideal for industrial applications such as dies, press tools, punches, machine knives and marking devices.

Ground stationary was presented at Connectors, a selling exhibition of design works curated by Brent Dzekciorius for Phillips De Pury and Company at the Saatchi Gallery, London and later sold through the Phillips De Pury and Company Shop in London and New York.
